If you are:
- living overseas;
- have Fixed Term Loans (loans taken out before 1998); and
- are earning over the equivalent of the annual threshold of £27,050 in the country where you live;you will be expected to make your monthly repayments to us.
You can make repayments by Direct Debit through a UK bank account. If you no longer have a UK bank account, you can view the other payment options you can use.
If you earn under the threshold, you may be eligible to defer (postpone) your student loan repayments. For more information please see Deferring Your Loan.
If your repayments are currently deferred, we will send you a new deferment application form approximately eight weeks before the end or your current deferment period. If we do not hold your current overseas address, please login to the secure area of this site and update your details.
